Welcome to the official website for the 175th anniversary celebration for the Township of West Milford.

This website will be updated throughout the year as we add events and activities organized or participated in by the 175th Anniversary Committee. Check our Calendar for a list of events throughout the year.

We invite you to participate in the West Milford 175th Anniversary Celebration Parade. The parade is sponsored by the town of West Milford and the West Milford 175th Anniversary Committee and will be held Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 1:00 PM in West Milford, NJ.

Participation in the Parade is open to West Milford Schools, Lake Communities and Civic Organizations, etc. We encourage these organizations to compete against their Township neighbors to create a float which depicts: the Anniversary theme "A Town for all Seasons", West Milford's history or a particular location / event in town. Local Businesses are also welcome to participate in the parade as a means of advertising. Business entries, as with all entries, are required to decorate their entries for the event and follow the enclosed rules and regulations. Businesses may also "team-up or sponsor" an organization to offset costs and the float will then be signed as such.

A panel of qualified judges will review each group/ float as it passes the grand stand area. Awards will be confirmed at the event following the parade.
